Shortly after her 13th birthday, while singing in the temple choir, a traveling Wizard recognized her latent magical abilities. He offered to train her in the ancient and prestigious art of Spellsong. Accepting his offer, Veska became his apprentice, dedicating the next decade to mastering both the whip and arcane magic. Veska’s appearance is striking: she has a lithe and agile build, perfect for the fluid movements of Spellsong. Her eyes, a deep gold, reflect both her determination and the wisdom gained from her rigorous training. Her hair, a cascade of snow white, is often tied back to keep it from interfering with her combat maneuvers. She wears practical yet elegant clothing, combining a disciple’s traditional robes with a warrior’s functional attire. Her most distinctive feature is the whip she carries, symbolizing her skill and dedication to her craft. One morning, Veska awoke to find her Master gone without a trace. Heartbroken and confused, she embarked on a quest to find him and to uncover any clues about her origins. Her only link to her past was the baby blanket she was found with, intricately embroidered with symbols she couldn’t decipher. Her journey led her to Stormhaven following a rumor that her Master had passed through recently. The lead turns out to be false, but fate intervenes when she encounters Moren, a woman in desperate need of help to escape the city.
