After a year, Kalyndra was left in the care of a half-elf family of inventors, and her mother returned to the Elven lands. Growing up, Kalyndra developed two great loves: inventing alongside her adoptive family and exploring the nearby woods. Her adventures led her to befriend a guild of Rangers, who took her under their wing and trained her in their ways. In addition to her skills as an inventor and ranger, Kalyndra served as a Stormguard Marine aboard an airship at the age of 17, where she became known for her exceptional precision as a sniper. Her time in the Stormguard solidified her reputation for excellence in high-stakes missions. At the age of 25, after retiring from the Stormguard for the first time, Kalyndra finally met her birth mother, who invited her to live in the Elven lands with her and her family. Although she was eager to connect with her Elven heritage, the experience was far from welcoming. Her half-siblings resented her as a reminder of their mother’s betrayal, and her stepfather ignored her completely. After three long years of enduring the hostility, Kalyndra returned to Ethos to reconnect with her adoptive family and resume her work as an inventor. At age 30, Kalyndra was recalled by the Stormguard to train a new generation of snipers. She embraced her role as a mentor, passing down her knowledge and skills, before retiring again on her 38th birthday. On her 39th birthday, Kalyndra opened her own shop in White Stone, where she established her business. Just before her 40th birthday, she met her half-sister, Bela, which rekindled a family connection. For years, Kalyndra has balanced running her shop, serving as a ranger for the city, and spending time with her sister and, later, her friends Reza and Donarr.
