For 18 years, Moren Ravenheart grew up as the sole heiress of her Noble family in the port city of Damali on the Menagerie Coast. Her parents only saw her as a bargaining chip to make them richer and accumulate more political influence by marrying her off. She dreams of traveling the world as a Hero and leaving behind the cutthroat politics of her family and city of Damali. With the help of her maid and caregiver, Mika, Moren starts to stockpile supplies and gather funds for her escape. The world is currently changing from the magical age into the age of steam and technology. One night, after attending a party the Marquis invited her family to attend, Moren learns her parents planned to sign a marriage contract that would force her to marry the city leader. Moren prays to the Gods for help, and a magical being known as a Fey materializes before her to offer her access to extraordinary abilities that would allow Moren to escape her wicked family for a life of adventure in exchange for doing the Fey a favor in the city of Whitestone within a years time. Moren accepts the deal and flees on an airship to start a new life as an adventurer on the continent of Taldorei with a few bags and her dreams. A few months later, Moren finds her way to Whitestone, where she will be dragged into a world of intrigue and danger when she stumbles upon a mysterious scheme in the shadows. Along the way she will make new friends, find love, and have to fight for her life against a dangerous foe.
